After qualifying in 2002 with Bsc Physiotherapy at Kings College University London, my career began at Kings College Hospital, a Regional Neurological Hospital for Southeast of England. During my three years there, I rotated through a diverse range of specialities including liver/renal services, musculoskeletal, elderly care, stroke unit, acute neurological rehabilitation, amputee rehabilitation and wheelchair services. Fuelled by a desire for experience outside the hospital environment, I took up a position in Adult Community rehabilitation, firstly within central London and then the Borough of Hillingdon. Prior to working with Neuro Physio Berkhamsted, I was lead physiotherapist on an Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Unit and Community service at Mount Vernon Hospital treating complex rehabilitation patients presenting with multiple co-morbidities. I have extensive experience in Falls Assessment and Prevention having worked as part of Falls Evidence based therapy Teams.
Throughout my career I have always followed my interest in Neurology and have experience in treatment of acute and chronic neurological conditions. I have completed numerous and differing courses including Bobath Normal Movement; Upper limb rehabilitation, Stroke Kinematics, Spasticity Management, Electrical stimulation, and PD Warrior training.
Outside of work my main passion is Squash (closely followed by my kids!). I have competed since the junior ranks and currently represent the ladies team at Tring Squash Club as well as working as a Squash coach on the Junior development program. I recently retained the Ladies Berkhamsted Squash Club championship title.
