Jody graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy 1992 from the University of Manchester. She spent 6 years at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery(NHNN) as a specialist neurological physiotherapist. She then returned to working for the next 23 years in West HertsNeurological team where she raised her family. After this Jody returned to NHNN to work as as a consultant neurological physiotherapist in the neuromuscular team for 2 years. Her most recent role was in the charity sector with Chilterns Neurological Centre as head of service and consultant physiotherapist.

Jody’s specialist interest is in supporting people living with Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromuscular conditions from initial diagnosis to the advanced stages of the disease. She is co chair of TiMS (Therapists with a specialist interest in MS) and has been raising awareness and lecturing on the importance of maintaining optimal respiratory health in MS.

Jody has extensive experience working with a range of neurological conditions from acute care, through to community rehabilitation. She has maintained a high level of professional development including being Bobath trained to an advanced level, and trained in vestibular rehabilitation.

Jody has a passion for exercise and enjoys running, open water swimming, cycling, skiing, yoga, and going away in her camper van as often as she can. She is a Qualified Yoga Teacher. She has been happily married for over30 years and has 2 grown up sons and a cat.
