Amy qualified with BSc (Hons) from the University of Wales College of Medicine School of Physiotherapy in 2001. Since this time she has worked at several hospitals within the NHS, completing various roles with a variety of patients with neurological conditions. She has specialised in Neurology since 2003, when she moved to The Hillingdon Hospital to work as a Specialist Physiotherapist completing rotations in Neurology. Her responsibilities here included leading a variety of clinics such as a Spasticity clinic and Orthotic clinic as part of the multi disciplinary team. Subsequent to this, Amy worked at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery for over five years gaining wide-ranging skills across many areas of Neurology in the UK’s leading centre for Neurological care.
Amy has successfully completed many post graduate courses including the Basic Bobath Course, many Bobath themed workshops and an Advanced Bobath course, as well as courses in spasticity management, managing dizziness, FES, and PD Warrior.
Amy is an active member of ACPIN, The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology and ACPVIR, The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Vestibular Rehabilitation, and regularly attends postgraduate training provided by these specialist interest groups.
Amy co-founded Neuro Physio Berkhamsted in 2008, and has enjoyed working closely with patients within their own homes to achieve their goals, with the aim of improving their quality of life.
Amy has lived in Berkhamsted since 2004. She has three children, and is a keen runner.
